Elgato has decided to enter the storage market by releasing its new Thunderbolt SSD. It is a solid-state drive designed for use with Macs equipped with a high-speed Thunderbolt connector. In case you didn’t know, the Thunderbolt interface can provide up to 10Gbps of data throughput. The company claims that the Thunderbolt SSD is capable of reading data at a rate of 270MBps. Available in 120GB and 240GB of storage spaces, the Thunderbolt SSD retails for £350 ($547) and £570 ($892), respectively. [MacWorld]
