Samsung has announced a new laptop powered by Intel Ivy Bridge processor. The Samsung Series 7 Chronos laptop sports a 17.3-inch display and a premium compact and light aluminum chassis. What is interesting about this desktop replacement is that it features innovative ExpressCache technology which provides 8GB of flash memory on the motherboard, enabling a faster start-up as well as increasing overall performance. In fact, Samsung claims that due to this technology web browsing is two times faster and the device takes just two seconds to wake up.
Specification include Intel Core i7-3615QM processor (2.3GHz), 8GB DDR3 memory, 1TB hard drive + 8GB ExpressCache, NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M graphics (2GB), 17.3″ full HD LED display (1920 x 1080), and Blu-ray drive.
Samsung Series 7 Chronos laptop also features JBL 2W x2 stereo speakers + 5W embedded subwoofer, 1.3MP HD webcam, 802.11 a/b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, multi-gesture trackpad, and 8-cell battery.
I/O options include 2 USB 3.0, 2 USB 2.0, 4-in-1 multi card slot, VGA, and HDMI.
Operating system is Windows 7 Professional (64-bit).
